Talking Therapy in Cornwall

At its heart, counselling is a deeply empathic conversation centred around you.

I offer therapy grounded in compassion and care, helping you unpack your past experiences, negative thoughts and overwhelming feelings to bring about lasting change. Through careful exploration, we will uncover the underlying beliefs and emotions that contribute to your tension and prevent you from fully realising your potential.

Can you remember the last time you felt heard? When did someone give you the space to express yourself without interruption or advice, and you felt deeply seen and understood?

Sessions are available throughout the week with no long-term commitments. One-to-one counselling starts at £40 per session at our private therapy space in Redruth, or online counselling sessions are available wherever you are.

Qualified & Insured

I’m a fully qualified counsellor with a CPCAB Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and a member of the BACP.

No long-term contracts

You can cancel counselling at any time. We can work weekly or fortnightly and there’s no long-term commitments.

Confidential Support

Sessions are completely confidential and designed around your specific counselling needs and goals.

Counsellor in Cornwall

I offer a range of counselling options built on empathy and acceptance.

Face to Face Counselling

Counselling in person allows you to step away from your daily life and focus solely on your needs. We create a space where you can express yourself freely and address whatever concerns you have. Whether dealing with stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, or simply in need of a listening ear, I will support you throughout your journey.

Online Counselling

If you live outside Cornwall or prefer to start your counselling journey via video or telephone sessions, I offer secure online sessions. Online Counselling sessions can be a great way to build confidence, and many clients start online before deciding to move to face-to-face sessions.

Single Session Therapy

Sometimes we need space to explore and process something that is troubling us in a focused way. Single Session Counselling is a different approach that offers immediate support and insight in a more structured counselling session.

Frequently asked questions.

Hopefully, these answers are helpful for the questions you may have, but feel free to reach out if you have any other thoughts.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions varies; some clients come for a few sessions to focus on a specific issue, while others require a long-term approach to work through more complex experiences.

I have introduced Single Session Therapy to offer clients a more focused approach to common struggles. These sessions are created to stand alone, although further sessions can be added if you wish.

Counselling sessions are £40 and last for 50 minutes. I offer a free 20-minute call to new clients before the first session to answer any questions you may have and to ensure my approach will fit your needs.

I work through Liminal Therapy, and we offer discounts for people who are unemployed, on a low income and work in the care sector or NHS.

There is no fixed-term contract, so you can stop at any time.

Yes, what you say in counselling is generally confidential. We adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework and UK law to ensure your information remains private.

However, there are exceptions, such as in cases of safeguarding children or vulnerable adults, terrorism, and criminal activity. We will cover confidentiality during the initial assessment, and our contract will detail how we handle any necessary disclosures.

Our goal is to support you, and we want you to feel safe knowing that our discussions will be kept private.

I’m a Person-centred counsellor, this form of talking therapy is structured with you at the core of the process. It’s client-led, meaning the direction, pace, and focus of each session are determined by what is most significant to you. Rather than providing advice or solutions, this therapy is rooted in the belief that you already possess the answers within yourself. With the right environment, you can access those insights, tackle emotional challenges, and achieve meaningful personal growth.

This approach is based on the understanding that healing occurs not by being instructed on what to do, but through feeling deeply understood, fully heard, and truly accepted. In person-centred therapy, your therapist cultivates a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly and honestly.
